Seedance 1.0

Seedance 1.0 is ByteDance's flagship text-to-video and image-to-video model. It supports both Chinese and English prompts and can create multiple coherent scenes from one prompt. The model undergoes supervised fine-tuning (SFT) on carefully collected data and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF). This ensures the model can accurately interpret user instructions and generate natural motion.

Seedance 1.0 tops the Artificial Analysis leaderboards, outperforming Veo 3 and Kling 2.0. It excels at following complex prompts and creating multi-scene videos. Unlike Veo 3, Seedance does not yet support native audio generation. The Lite version’s text-to-video mode also tends to produce low-resolution outputs with limited motion.

Seedance 1.0 is great at following nuanced prompts and creating scenes with multiple camera angles — faster and cheaper than Veo 3. Seedance 1.0 can generate 5-second 1080p videos in about 41.4 seconds on NVIDIA-L20 hardware. The model’s strengths in cohesive visuals and cost-efficiency make it valuable for many creative projects.
